One trade. Since 1988.

Insul-Con, Inc. was established in 1988 as a mechanical systems insulation contractor serving commercial, industrial, institutional, and process construction. Thirty-eight years later that is still the whole company.

Who we are

We are a Georgia company with a corporate office in Buford, north of Atlanta, and branch offices in Macon and Columbus. From those three offices we cover the state and follow our mechanical contractor customers into the Southeast and beyond.

Our work is on office buildings, schools, hospitals, chemical plants, manufacturing facilities, and military installations. Our field leadership has been with the company for decades. Our estimators price the material that is actually specified. Our crews finish behind the pipe fitters so the ceiling closes on time.

Most of our work comes from mechanical contractors and general contractors who have hired us before. That is the only marketing plan we have ever needed, which is also why this website is new.

What a general contractor gets

  • A scope letter that matches the spec. Inclusions and exclusions written out by system so there are no change orders over what "insulation" meant.
  • Submittals before mobilization. Product data and thickness schedules, ready for the engineer.
  • A working foreman on every job. One name, one phone number, every day.
  • Closeout you can hand to the owner. As-installed schedule and warranty letter.

What an owner gets

  • Systems that hold their design temperature. Insulation thickness per spec, vapor retarders continuous, no sweating chilled lines.
  • Jacketing that survives the maintenance crew. Removable covers where valves and strainers live.
  • A contractor who will still be here. Thirty-eight years in the same trade, in the same state.
